In spite of the fact that we all saw poor show of Indian performance at ICC World cup t20 2009, India still stands a chance at their West Indies tour. This is what most analysts still think as they blame too much t20 cricket for Indian players lately.

West Indies skipper Chris Gayle has also realized it and he does takes India as a strong team to play. He believes that India's poor performance at World Cup T20 2009 is not going to be a show-stopper when it comes to one-day Internationals. India is still a good team; it's another fact that star players like Sachin Tendulkar and Zaheer Khan are on rest during the tour. Also, explosive batsmen like Virender Sehwag and Suresh Rain have been suffering from ill fitness.

While the West Indies team is still considering India as a serious competitor, they are also happy about their own performance at World Cup T20. "It was a pretty decent performance. We tried our best but in the end it was not to be," Gayle said. "But I am not disheartened. In fact, I am proud of the guys, as at the championship, not many were expecting us to reach that far.”

However, regardless of how much is claimed about Indians' future performances, India have been known for turning the results unexpectedly, at unexpected times. For instance, India were beaten 4-1 at West Indies in year 2006, but they made a sudden pathbreaking comeback by winning World Cup T20 in the following year.

It is all for us to wait and watch before anyone can make any authentic comments about the contest to be held at West Indies tour of India.
