The blaster opening batsman of team India, Virender Sehwag, got an injury in his shoulder during IPL season2 in South Africa. Ever since, he has been in discomfort and now, having watched for his performance at nets, he is advised to return home.Despite some controversy having been floated up between him and the captain, Dhoni, his fitness remained doubtful and no clear declarations from Indian team camp came out. However, he is advised to be assessed for his fitness by English fitness experts and final decision would be an outcome of their reports.

For team India to recover from this loss, the suggested replacement is Dinesh Karthik, who had been in a good form uding the IPL Season 2. Also, it also gives Indian team an edge because Karthik is capable of keeping wicket if needed. Rohit Sharma is also a potential contendor to participate in the Indian show of T20 cricket in rest of the world cup T20 at England.
